1 c Butter
1 c Brown sugar
1 c Sugar
2 Eggs
1 ts Vanilla
2 c Flour
2 1/2 c Oatmeal *
1/2 ts Salt
1 ts Baking soda
1 ts Baking powder
12 oz Chocolate chips
8 oz Hershey bar; grated
1 1/2 c Nuts; pecans or walnuts
Cream together butter and the 2 sugars. Add the 4 eggs and vanilla. Mix
together flour, oatmeal*, salt baking sada and baking powder. Mix all
ingredients together and add chocolate chips, hershey bar and chopped nuts.
Bake on ungreased cookie sheets (Cushion Aire-insulated the best so the
cookies don’t burn). Make golf-ball size cookies, spaced 2″ apart. Bake at
375-degrees for 6 minutes. Makes 112 cookies.
* Oatmeal: put small amounts of oatmeal into blender on high until it
turns to powder. Measure first, then blend.
